Analysises On Mental Health Condition Of The Members Taking The Minimum Living Standard Security And The Influencing Factors In The Progress Of Urbanization

With fast economic development of our country, the unbalance of social and economic development gradually emerge, which make various social stratums come forth in the cities,with members taking the minimum living standard security at the bottom of the society. From March to July in 2005 we investigated the members taking the minimum living standard security registered in 19 communities belong to Hubin office and Hepin office in Quanshan district ,Xuzhou ,Jingsu. At the same time we select the same number of those not taking the minimum living standard security with the same sex and age condition (not over 5 years) and living near the members taking the guarantee of basic cost of living allowances as the contrast to check. Using the method combining systemic sampling and cluster sampling together, we select 972 persons to be the inquisition object, collecting 890 valid questionnaire,with 91.6% efficiency .After investigation and analysis , we find out the main causes to taking the guarantee of basic cost of living allowances and existent physical, mental and social problems , and put forward some plans and suggestions according to the existent problems as follows:一,Existent problems of members taking the guarantee of basic cost of living allowances :1.Members taking the minimum living standard securityshow " the three high and two low": high age stage, high percentage of the disabled ,the sick and the persons suffered chronic deseases (26.5%), high percent of the unemployed and workers laid off (70.1%), low education level (40.4% only had degree of primary school) and low income ( average income 224.74 RMB per month).2. Members being investigated characterized by strain social relation; seldom contacting brothers ,sisters, friends or neighbors; usually getting little help while meeting difficulties.3. Members being investigated communicate with the lower social stratums compared with the members not taking theminimum living standard security.4. Members taking the minimum living standard security have heavier family burden and burden brouhgt by diseases. Employment rate of the family members is lower and with less income.5.
