"Na jiao yi ge X" Pattern (referred to as "na’Pattern for short)is a common sentence in modern spoken Chinese, such as:(1)Zhe jia fandian de shengyi na jiao yi ge huo, fang yan wang qu,shi ke ru yun.(2)Ta men lia na jiao yige qin, henbude zuan yige beiwo1i qu.This sentence pattern consists of four parts, including known compositions "na""jiao""yige" and unknown composition "X".Few people noticed this sentence pattern and studied it,perhaps because we are too accustomed to it to be aware of it.Basing on the results of previous studies and taking the overall concept of Construction grammar theory as the guiding ideology, combining Three-plane grammatical theory,we analyze "na" Pattern comprehensively. This paper is divided into six parts, and from Chapter One to Chapter Four are the main parts. In the Introduction, firstly we elaborated the necessity of the "na"Pattern. And then we summarized the results of previous studies, based on which,we found out the innovative points of this paper. We put forward the basic theories and research methods used in this study, and explained the language material sources and symbols. In Chapter One,firstly we outlined the overall characteristics of this pattern:openness, mass producibility and context dependence. Then we analyzed the compositions which can enter "na "Pattern from the aspects of syllable features, grammatical features, structure characteristics and type characteristics and thus summarized the semantic common features.Secondly we analyzed the nature and function of "na""jiao""yige" in this sentence pattern, and moreover explained the asymmetry of "na" and "zhe" in this pattern in a reasonable way.In Chapter Two,we analyzed the overall sentence pattern from the level of syntactics and semantics. Most of time,"na" Tattern can serve as a predicate, the modal complement and sometimes can act as the object of the psychological verbs and it can also act as a separate sentence and a clause in a complex sentence.Mostly it act as a terminal sentence and rarely act as originating sentence. The overall "na" Pattern embodies profuse semantic meanings, which can summarized as a subjective evaluation righteousness, degree righteousness, commentary righteousness. In Chapter Three,we analyzed the "na"Pattern from the level of pragmatics."na"Pattern can be only applicable to conversational stylistic and literary stylistic; mostly used for lamenting modal;mainly embodies the strong tone of comments and the tone would be changed due to the mood of the speaker in some certain circumstances. It mainly embodies the complimentary sense and derogatory sense from the aspect of emotional color. The usages of characteristics can be summarized as usage in the sayings, repeated usage, continuous usage and transform usage. It can be only used in peer-to-peer scene, and can not be used in affair scene and power scene. In addition,"na"pattern can also reflect the speaker’s subjective exaggerated emotion. It can make the speech more lively if used properly so as to achieve a humorous and witty expressing effect. In Chapter Four,we analyzed the prevalent causes of the "na"Pattern, including social reasons, the generalization of Beijing dialect spoken language, the analogy mechanism and the people’s psychologic novelty and divergence. In the Epilogue,we summarized the views and conclusions of the whole thesis and pointed out the inadequacies.
