And Drama Translation Studies, one part ofLiterature Translation, has also once gone unheeded due to its own complicity andassociation with multiple disciplines. Nevertheless, starting from the early21stcentury,Drama Translation is gaining gradual attention from the Translation StudiesCommunity. Ying Ruocheng’s significant role in Beijing People’s Theatre has madethe study on Ying’s drama translations more worthwhile. This research also hopes toenrich translators’ translation practice. This research takes Andre Lefevere’s“Manipulation” Theory as its main theory frame. Main body of the paper consists of abrief introduction of research method and background, a snapshot of ManipulationSchool and Andre Lefevere works, as well as extensive analyses of drama textswritten by Ying.
