However, his dedication to drama translation is rarely discussed.Based on Andre Lefevere's ideological theory, the thesis analyzes Ying's translation texts with the theory of ideology so that the author can explore how ideology exerts great influences on translation. The author also hopes that people do not forget Ying's achievement to drama translation and give sufficient attention to him and his translation.Through careful research on his translation works, which are influenced by the ideology, the article demonstrates Lefevere's theory and makes an objective evaluation of Ying Ruocheng and his translation. According to previous studies and the author's analysis to the original texts and Ying's translating texts for a long time, the author concludes that ideology (including political, social, religious, ethical, personal and all other kinds of ideology) plays a crucial impact on the translation.
