Oian Zhong Wen’s Triple Variation In The Literary Theory

This is an critical article, aiming at systematically summarizing and making comment on the important theory achievements of Mr. Qian Zhong Wen.Mr Qian is the China’s well-known contemporary theorist.Since the1980s he has been active in literary circles and his main theory achievements include the Theory of Aesthetic Ideology, the Theory of Aesthetic Reflection and the Theory of New Rational Spirit Literature.Literary circles have made some research on Mr Qian’s literary thoughts,but most of them just made research on one of his literary thoughts.Few of them make a systematical research,regarding the three theories as a whole.Therefore,it’s trying to break through the past limitations,not only elaborating the single theory but also discussing the logical relationship among the three theories from the macro aspect.This article includes five parts. Part1is just to make clear, with some emphasis, about the importance of the Theory of Aesthetic Ideology, pointing out that the ideology is the general nature of literature,but the character of literature is just "Aesthetics".The Aesthetic Ideology is more scientific than Ideology.Part2expounds the Theory of Aesthetic Reflection and thinks highly of Mr Qian’s hard work and deduces that the aesthetics is a multiple and open structure. Part3emphasizes on analysing the new rational spirit,aiming at discussing the existence of people and the meaning of culture and art,to reconstruct the value and spirit of culture and to look for man’s spiritual homeland with the extrusion of things, in such an atmosphere of anti-culture and anti-art.Part4will summarize the relationships among the three theories.Part5is to discuss the way of thinking on academic research, the differences between Chinese and western culture,and the innovation based on the reality.The three theories,of course, are not perfect,such as Mr Qian’s different definition on the Aesthetic Ideology in different periods,and the definition of the Theory of New Rational Spirit Literature is unclear,etc.
