The Research On Teaching Chinese Based On Design And Development Of Smart Phone Applications

There is subsequent popularity and the rapid development of InformationTechnologies and“smart”appliances in nowadays society, promote the process ofinformatization of the education environment and also to speed up the changes inthe teaching methods. If the smart phone obtains the variety of technologies appliedon the traditional way of learning, then it will be possible to have a great impact onteacher-learner styles of learning Chinese.Mobile learning will gradually be put into practice as a new way of learning fornowadays society. Mobility, wide spread and personalized peculiarities of mobilelearning let the learners be able to apply them “anytime, anywhere, always portable”.Also, the author put attention to the listening situation, because it is not easy to obtainthe second (or third) foreign language in Korea.The focus lies on pronunciation and listening, the author studied those aspectsintegrated into mobile learning. In the future, phonetics and vocabulary learning canbe carried out by using “smart” appliances, in order to improve learners’ skills. Thisresearch is aimed at stimulating the interest of beginners to learn Chinese and atpreserve learning motivation.At first, the research on the current situation of Korean mobile market, on theconcept of mobile learning and on characteristics and theoretical basis was carried out.Then, plans and design of mobile learning software based on the smart phoneplatform were suggested. Even the applications for learning phonetics and vocabularyfor beginners were designed. Finally, this thesis makes the endeavor to outlook in thefuture development of mobile learning classes, and the deficiencies of this study weresummarized.
