Review Of Research On The "Degree Adverb+Noun" Structure In Modern Chinese

As a special language phenomenon, the "degree adverb+noun" structure first appeared in the literaure in the1930s. However, at that time the structure didn’t cause the attention of grammer researchers. Since the1960s some scholars published research papers about the structure in succession,so far the studies has made great achievements. But the papers which summary the structure are not enough and comprehensive. In view of this situation,this thesis will review the research on "degree adverb+noun"structure for more than half a century from four angles,trying to show the research on the structure completely and objectively.The first part is syntactic research of "degree adverb+noun" structure.Summarize the type and property of the nouns in the structure,the type and function of the degree advers in the structure and the syntactic function of the whole structure.The second part is semantic research of "degree adverb+noun" structure. Generalize the semantic features of the nouns in the structure and analyze the semantic direction of nouns,degree adverbs and the whole structure.The third part is pragmatic research of "degree adverb+noun" structure. Summarize the special pragmatic value of the structure, analyze the influence which contextual factors have on the structure.The fourth part summarizes the studies of "degree adverb+noun" structure based on cognitive linguistics theory,language typology,grammaticalization theory and construction grammer theory.And generalize the results of comparison between the "degree adverb+noun" structure and other Chinese syntactic structures.
