Shadow Art In The Digital Media Art Application Research

Digital media art is a popular art form based on the digital media art. It can be madeconveniently, spread fast with rich manifestations. It has combined the rational thinkingand perceptual thinking of the art, which is a perfect embodiment of the combination oftechnology and art. However, the shadow art is the traditional folk art in our country, whichbelongs to the intangible cultural heritage. It has experienced numerous historical baptismfor thousands of years, accumulated various cultural connotation, and occupied a longhistorical and cultural status in our country. However in today’s digital era, the digitalmedia art has achieved the rapid development. How to further develop the tradition folk art,combine with the digital media art, and construct the new mode of the shadow art havegradually become the focus in the art circle.This paper has firstly discussed the concepts and development history of the digitalmedia art and shadow art. Starting from the features and current situation of these twofactors, it has pointed out the existing problems and the confronted dilemma for thedevelopment in the domestic nowadays. Based on three different manifestations ofdynamic, static and interaction for the digital media art, this paper has analyzed thefeasibility of the application of shadow art, and looked for the opportunity for thecombination, which means to mainly depend on the dynamic manifestation of the digitalmedia added with the static and interaction to combine the digital media art and shadow art.Finally, this paper has achieved the development direction of digital shadow art in thefuture through the advantages after the combination.
