The GAN Xi custom is an important part of weddings in southern Shandong area,which is still very popular nowadays. The traditional GAN Xi is usually two personscooperate on a wedding: one would sing some happy songs or say Congratulations onthe auspicious words, another is responsible for saying good. By doing this, they canbe able to active the wedding atomosphere and to beg a little money and goods. Andnow, the content and nature of GAN Xi custom has changed grately, some of thesocial loafing have joined the GAN Xi ranks, have formed their own organization, anddivided GAN Xi region. GAN Xi industry is beginning to show some kind ofindustrialization, specialization tendencies.This paper takes WangXiangCun in southern shandong as a case study to observethe internal logic of existence and changes in people’s lives.and discussing theheritage and recycling of folklore in the new period of society. It will be very helpfulfor our understanding of social concern changes in the local community. And on thisbasis, I try to understand and interprete the inheritance and reengineering oftraditional village in contemporary society.The article is divided into four parts:The introduction section describes the reason and meaning of the topics, reviewsacademic history and research objectives and research methods, to define the contextof villages, folk arts, art, text and other related academic term.The first chapter is a description of the context of Wang Xiang villages, they arecultural space of GAN XI custom, including geography, the village space structure,production and living customs, family, Festivals, as well as villages in the sacredspace. Overall view of the Village’s internal knowledge, the village daily picture isgradually rendered. The second chapter is the focus of the whole paper, section I first describes themarriage and child rearing practices in the villages, including the various elements ofthe ceremony, such as ceremony time, location, organization, personnel, personnelinvolved in the ceremony process and so on. Section II introduces a few gratifyingpeople in Wang Xiang Village, they are the main body of GAN XI custom andrepresents a different type. Section III to describe the way and rules of Gan Xi custom,including the sources of information, tools, songs, taboos. The fourth section by twocase studies to reproduce the entire ritual process of Gan Xi.The third chapter focuses on the tradition and its changes of Gan Xi tradition inrural society, mainly divided into four major stages: prior to1980is the initial stage,some rural vulnerable groups join in the Gan Xi custom. The period from1980to1999, Gan Xi industry began to ask for the monetary reward, ranging from a few centsto a few dollars in the late1990s early1980s, in addition to the necessary financialrewards, started singing the song and ask for tobacco and alcohol. The first twophases is the traditional stage of Gan Xi.2000to2009, the Gan Xi industry showingthe disorder and chaos, this period many rural punks join into Gan Xi ranks; After2009there is a new trend of Gan Xi custom, some of the village committee beganorganizing the Hershey team, and prohibit outside the village to enter the village toGan Xi, Wang Xiang Village Hershey team is the most prominent. This chapter isfocus on Gan Xi occurred at different stages of alienation, the alienation is how ithappened, and caused what kind of impact on local society.Fourth chapter from the theoretical vision of artistic folklore to discuss therelationship between Gan Xi traditional art and folklore, including folk Statute Gan Xiand Gan Xi art creation, and to catch the interaction between folklore and Gan Xicustom.The epilogue, through discussion the changes of Gan xi tradition in rural society,this paper illustrates the impact of economic globalization and modernization to ruralsociety. The local community has been dominated by political, economic logic, manipulation continues, and becomes into fragmented social space by continually berewritten.
