The Northeast Yangko is a popular folk dance in the northeast region of China, which has a history of more than300years. Its smooth melody and lively rhythm reflects rich local flavor of the northeast folk art and culture. Zhan Surong has made determined efforts. She went to the civil society and learnt from the old folk artist with different performance style since the fifty’s of the last century. She excavated and sorted out of the first hand action materials with the most folk essence of the Northeast Yangko. Thereby she sorted out a scientific, systematic, exercising and theatrical teaching material, which is the first book of the Northeast Yangko in China.This paper uses three chapters to analyze and evaluate Professor Zhan’s book of the Northeast Yangko through studying and sorting. Through the elaboration of the origin of the Northeast Yangko and the elaboration of the difficult road of studying the system and the style of the Northeast Yangko, the first part of this paper dissects the style characteristics of Professor Zhan’s book. The second part mainly discussed the folk embodiment of Professor Zhan’s book through the detailed analysis of Professor Zhan’s different dance sessions from two aspects:the folk embodiment of the dance session and the musical embodiment of the folk characteristics. The last part is an objective assessment of Professor Zhan’s academic research on the Northeast Yangko and educational inheritance of the Northeast Yangko as a folk dance.etc.
