A Research On The Stele Of "Huairen Ji Wang Xizhi Shu Sheng Jiao Xu" And Its Early Rubbings

In this essay, the author will review the repository, preservation and status of the Stele of "Huairen Ji Wang Xizhi Shu Sheng Jiao Xu" in history, and make a comparative study of its several early rubbings, by which that may proof the status of the stele in Song Dynasty (A.D.906-1279). Besides, the author will discuss whether common denominators exist on different early rubbings upon the authenticating opinions of some well-regarded experts of the age, and in turn, reconsider whether those expert opinions are reliable to guide the future research.The author will also introduce25Northern Song Dynasty (A.D.906-1127) rubbings of the Stele of "Huairen Ji Wang Xizhi Shu Sheng Jiao Xu", and particular introduce3of them which are now collected by the Palace Museum. In addition, the publication of Northern Song Dynasty (A.D.906-1127) rubbings of the Stele of "Huairen Ji Wang Xizhi Shu Sheng Jiao Xu" Photostats will also be listed in the essay.This paper deals with the research method of inscriptions and their rubbings, as well as the core value of the museum collections.
