J. Hillis Miller,(1928-today) is one of the representatives of deconstruction criticism in the20th century,a member of the "Yale criticism" creation,the most famous contemporary American and one of the most influential literary critics,and a type character of later20th century western synthesizes. He has devoted himself to literary criticism for more than seventy years.He works a lot. He has a lot of criticism theory and criticism practice and his old age is still very active. My Papers is mainly focus on the deconstruction criticism stage of some of his works,for example the The interpretation of the narrative,Fiction and Repetition,Reiterated deconstruction,As a host of criticism,Is Literature dead?,and combined with some interviews and others of Miller’s evaluation,trying to fully and accurately described Miller’s deconstruction criticism and define some misunderstanding and bias,put forward my own understanding and insights on deconstruction criticism of the Miller,rediscover the significance and limitations of deconstruction criticism of Miller.Chapter One:The introduction.This chapter is focus on introducing Miller and his deconstruction criticism,The research status at home and abroad,and the research target of this paper and the significance.Chapter Two:J. Hillis Miller’s deconstructive literary view.For Miller, language words is the foundation of literature,while the language words are full of metaphor, mixed,so the text is a trap around the maze,The author is constructed by the language words,Reading has become a puzzle adventure.This chapter is trying to explains some of the important elements of miller deconstruction criticism,for example:language、 text、narrative、reptation、writer reading,in order to accurately understand the Miller’s deconstruction criticism.Chapter Three:The discrimination of J. Hillis Miller’s deconstructive literature view.Miller’s deconstructive criticism has its own age limitation.He discusses literature and literature study by a philosophy mind,and he has always been in an interesting niche.He ignored a very important factor of literary creation.This chapter is mainly discussing the significance and limitations of his Deconstruction criticism.Conclusion:Miller’s deconstruction criticism brings us deep enlightenment.
