On The Narrative Ethics Of Yan Geling’s Novel

Yan Geling is an excellent Chinese writer with distinctive personality, whose works on one hand show readers bleak aspect of life, while on the hand show the glitz of life. Her work across borders and cultures, such as multiple barrier quite profound ideological, social connotation. After reading her works, the author found that regardless of the "Cultural Revolution","immigrants" and other themes, human nature and life is always the focus of Yan Geling. And these are the main problems of modern novels, narrative ethics concerns. Therefore, the author intends to construct the critical method of narrative ethics to explore the narrative ethics of Yan Geling’s works.According to the two aspects of narrative ethics, this paper is divided into three parts:introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction part is on "narrative","ethics","narrative ethics" concept, the author selected western scholars introduced the concept of "narrative ethics" research results and summarize the research status of writers and their works.The body part according to the research method of "narrative ethics" is divided into three chapters. The first chapter introduces the Yan Geling "immigrants" Chinese growth memory and "immigrants" American life experience to explore the transformation of narrative ethics. The second chapter from her novels and stories and ethical level, in accordance with the narrative ethics spirit will divides into two sections. They are the humanity heritage "narrative of the Cultural Revolution" and the survival of the individual life narrative.The third chapter starts from the aspects of narrative ethics in Yan Geling’s novels, in accordance with the text of the novel narrative form is divided into four sections. The firse section is multiple narrative perspective transformation, second sections from individual life experience of "remove the history" narrative. The third section is space-time narration, fourth section is unique narrative language. Through the analysis of four aspects of the narrative form of interpretation, provide a more favorable basis for the ethical orientation of Yan geling.The conclusion part summarizes the whole dissertation.
