While in the peaceful work Shanshui, Feng Zhi offered us a better understanding of life’s greatness and tininess among the boundless universe. The demonstration of Life Consciousness is the main episode of theme of Feng Zhi’s creation in1940s, which is a combination of Feng’s quiet and calm personality and his literature experience. From the beginning of the development of Sonnet in China to Feng’s awareness of it. Sonnet has perfectly achieved its localization in China. Feng Zhi had realized the sculptural and enjoyable beauty of the images in his philosophical lines, and had broken western restraints of Sonnet in changing its forms. Thus, Feng Zhi’s mature utilization of the verse is a stream of fresh water that Chian’s New Poetry pours into the fountain of the world’s poetry.From the aspects of the recurrence of life consciousness and the stylistic awareness of sonnet, this thesis discussed Feng Zhi’s main achievements in the home-front of the Anti Japanese War. It aims at getting rid of constraints of Existentialism and Modernism, and is to perfect Feng’s peculiarity and compatibility as an important member in the home-front.And it also presents the readers an intellectual poet who remains a sincere and modest attitude toward life and a respectable perception and patience in his creation through his responsibility for life.
