He not only thought over and explored the current issues in China, but also inherited the traditional culture; he not only established a unique, solid and convincing artist language system, but also possessed the humane care to the social reality; he not only possessed the brave to persist that art should touch the soul of human beings, but also mastered the development direction of easel painting. So the research and analysis of his art have important theoretical significance and practical significance.This work make a concept definition of the position in Chinese modern art field of Chao Ge based on the consensus of domestic critics, and then discussed the characterize of the art of Chao Ge from3respect, sorting out the formation process of his art style, comparing he with other domestic artists, and discussing the significance and value of Chao Ge’s art.Through the primary analysis of Chao Ge’s art, we hope this work could provoke deep thinking, recruiting more art-loving people take part in the inheritance of Chinese modern easel painting.
