Chen Fuliang was the distinguished writer in the Southern Song Dynasty who sets literati,scholar and bureaucrat in oneself. As the significant connecting link between the preceding and the following in Yongjia school, Chen achieved great success in his academic creation, especially his proses. However, for a long period, his proses got few attention and study. During his youth time, Chen Fuliang focused on imperial examination and teaching which made him famous. Later with the increase of age and the influence from his teachers like Xue Jixuan, Zheng Boxiong, he decided to focus on scholar studies and had wrote more proses. For instance, there were572papers collected in "Mr. Zhizhai Collections". His works covered a broad area involving proposals, prefaces, postscripts, funeral oration and other patterns. The style of his proses is conversant with ancient and modern learning, advocating modest charm. He was really a shining star in Yongjia school. This paper reappeared the real creating situation and explored the relationship between academic thinking and prose through observing his experience and life attitude, and combining with analysis of his academic origin and characteristics. Thus make a clear understanding of Chen’s distinctive prose style and his profound influence on later literary creation.
