Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky is one of the most complicated and conflicted writersin history of Russian literature. His thinking has been walk between heaven and hell, hoveringin God with the magic of the poles. Because of his works contains profound thought and wereknown as the “Ideological novel”.He shaped many characters,“God-to-Man” and“Man-to-God”represent the two extremes of his contradictory ideas, The dialogue and fightbetween them that made the thought of Dostoevsky get a panoramic view of the show. Themost representative of Dostoevsky’s ideological complexity and spiritual evolution is not“God-to-Man” image that perfec and noble, but “Man-to-God” that remove the sanctity of life,through suffering and tearing in good and evil, crime and punishment, reason and belief inhardship and eventually return to sanctity of life.“Man-to-God” is not a single, static image,but a dynamic construction that many, have similar mental features of characters.This paper mainly use theory of image, psychoanalysis theory and theory of culture asthe foundation, combine the macro background of Dostoevsky and read text as the method,from the multi-dimensional interpretation to analyze the unique connotation of “Man-to-God”and draw the outline of spiritual evolution, from modernity and religious culture angle,analysis the modern enlightenment of “Man-to-God” image. Paper consists of three parts:introduction, main body and conclusion. The introduction mainly include Dostoevsky’screation and research status at home and abroad, and then put forward the theory topics ofideas and academic goals. The main body was divided into three chapters:Chapter One referto the previous research achievements, determining the concept of “Man-to-God” image, fromthe external, internal spirit and tragic ending to analyzed the mental characteristics of“Man-to-God” image, combine the comprehensive cultural context and Dostoevsky’s lifeexperience to analyze its formation causes. Chapter Two, on the basis of “Man-to-God”image’s connotation and causes, combined with author’s ideological evolution and hisnovels:" Crime and Punishment "," The Idiot ","The Brothers Karamazov " to induce threespiritual evolution stage of “Man-to-God” image, which from free state to mental collapse,and then to save state. The third chapter analyzes the modern social significance of“Man-to-God” wandering between rationality and religion. Analyze the spirit predicament ofmodern people reflected from “Man-to-God” image, analysis author’s complicated attitudeabout reason and religion, revealing the meaning of sacred to human’s spirit, the niceexpectation of modern significance about value rationality, as well as Dostoevsky’s creativeconcept that reconstruct the sanctity of life for the salvation of mankind.Whether Dostoevsky’s hovering between rationality and religious,or the trial of“Man-to-God” in " Purgatory ", the purpose that they search up and down is to seek themeaning of life and the balance between spiritual world and earthly life, and strive to achievepeace of mind. Through the building of “Man-to-God” image explained his question aboutreason and God and the beautiful ideal about value rationality, by writing he attempt toexplore the value of human’s speech and line in the world which full of " fear and trembling ".
