Different with the elegant temperament and tranquil style in Song Dynasty, the gold andsilver jewelry of the female head in Ming Dynasty had gradually moved to gorgeous stylingand gaudy ornamentation, which permeated a strong flavor of the court. They not onlyinherited the fresh and simple style of the previous dynasty but also appeared to the gorgeousgas in the later period. The gold and silver jewelry in Ming Dynasty created a new face whichdisplayed the prosperity of jewelry making under the highly developed productivity in MingDynasty.In Ming Dynasty, the Jiangxi and Hubei areas were governed by quite a few royal governorsfor a long time. Thus the gold and silver jewelry unearthed in these areas has not only been asignificant number, but also no shortage of fine art works. The gold and silver ornamentsreflect the essence of the process as much as possible. These ornaments need to bereorganized and my paper is trying to select a few of them to make a careful research-----toanalyse the beauty of the shape and the ornamentation of the jewelry and the deportment ofthe wearers from an artistic point of view and to explore the social aesthetic tendency andvalues under a highly developed farming culture.
