In the Ming and Qing dynasties, China’s history has begun to accept the challenges of modernWestern civilization. The confrontation started in the scientific and technical aspects, until theend of the Qing dynasty and the early years of the Republic, and then extended to the entireideological and cultural dimensions. As an important part of the Chinese cultural patterns,Painting faces the same challenges; The same as past history, China’s Inherent civilizationactually is formed where it collide and blend with different cultural patterns. Just like Wei-jinMetaphysics and Neo-Confucianism. In this paper, Linda Chuan is looking for a way in a fiercecollision of Chinese and Western culture, I intended to proceed from a case, try to discuss the oneside and some tracks of its transformation of traditional Chinese painting study of Westernpainting in blending Chinese and Western, and studied the painter herein location and value inJapan, for our practice to provide the basis of history and learn from the experience.In this paper, Linda Chuan painting art as a key study, use of materials collected and interviewsto collect, collate Linda Chuan’s relevant information, research around the three aspects of LindaChuan painting art and other related issues. First, according to the social and cultural backgroundof the period in which Linda Chuan, clearance the status of the Fine Arts, Combined with theartistic experience of Linda Chuan, explore the occurrence and development of Linda Chuanpainting art; Second, by Linda Chuan’s style paintings rheological and artistic language, andthemes and so on. multi-angle analysis of his art of painting and ideas; Third, by Linda Chuanpainting art and its ideas to explore the value and significance in the Chinese modern art historyand Sino-Japanese modern art exchange.
