| China is one of the countries whose earthquake disasters occur frequently. In recent years,the frequent earthquake causing heavy casualties has seriously affected people’s lives. Ifburied personnel are rescued more quickly and timely after the earthquake, the livingpossibility will be greater. Our earthquake rescue team has equipped with rescue dogs and avariety of rescue equipment, including audio, video and radar life detector and so on. Thesemethods can detect the presence of life information, but the precise positioning is not good.Then the precious rescue time is delayed, and the efficiency of the rescue is affected.Therefore after the disaster, accurate positioning and visual aid are the difficult problems thatneed to be urgently solved in current earthquake rescue.In recent years, augmented reality technology is becoming the new branch and hot issue ofVirtual Reality on international. Augmented reality technology is a technology that canreal-time, dynamic overlay the virtual image or other information which the computergenerates to the reality environment which the observer sees, and makes these virtualinformation and the realistic environment around users meet. Compared with the indooraugmented reality, the outdoor augmented reality technology has remarkable difference inreality, work environment, registration methods and so on, and also need to consider theinterference of the weather, temperature, light and other factors in the outdoor environment.At present, the design and development of the outdoor augmented reality system is a verydifficult work, but also a challenge. The development of the effective outdoor augmentedreality system can greatly expand the application range of the augmented reality technology.In view of the huge damage of the earthquake disasters, the precious time of the earthquakerescue, as well as the deficiency equipment of the earthquake emergency rescue,this paper tryto introduce the augmented reality into the field of the earthquake rescue, researches therealization method and technical route of life detection and rescue system based onaugmented reality technology, and applies the GIS precise positioning and visual technologyto the earthquake relief. The main research contents of this paper include three-part. Firstly, we use the measured data of the GPS and three-dimensional electronic compass to build the3D positioning model of the buried personnel, based on the space analytic geometryknowledge. Secondly, this paper study on the software and hardware interface technology ofthe sensor and augmented reality system. Thirdly, we mainly use the OpenGL developmenttools as a platform to overlay the virtual image with the actual image in time by exchangingbuffer, based on the double buffer technique. Lastly, the system required field validation.This paper applies the augmented reality technique to the earthquake rescue, and achievesthe accurate positioning and visual aid in the earthquake relief. We get the accuratethree-dimensional of the buried personnel by the multi-point measurement (at last two) of thelife detector, high precision three-dimensional electronic compass, high accurate positioningdevice. The high precision positioning device, portable computer and the augmented realitysoftware system within the portable computer can make the rescue workers see the scenevideo image which overlays with virtual graphics of the buried personnel, and as the positionand gaze direction of the rescuers change, the overlaid video image which the rescuers seechanges too, which can better guide the rescue, and save the valuable time for rescue.The implemented and further applications of this study will greatly expand the deepapplication field of the augmented reality technology, and provide scientific and hightechnology support and guarantee for the earthquake relief and save lives. |
