The debris flow is a sudden natural disaster often occurs in mountain areas which results in casualties and the loss of property. China is a mountainous country.Affected by east asian monsoon, it rains heavily and intensively.Thus debris flow breaks out frenquently in mountain area.The researches of debris flow are mainly in modern debris flow.On the contrary, researches of widely developed ancient debris flow sediments are quite few. The research of debris flow of Beijing is similar to whole country, although many departments do many fruitful researches related to modern debris flow,ancient debris flow involved few.Based on the the breakthough of debris flow dating technology and the building of dating sequence, high resolution debris flow sediment sequence can be built to study the genesis,mechanism and evolution process of ancient debris flow activity.lt can also be used to reveal the geography environment change of active debris flow areas.The key problem of research the ancient debris flow evolution and its interaction mechanism is accurate date data and the paleoenvironment information.Luminescence dating is a main dating technology using in quaternary research.It is used in dating the quaternary loess research, but very few in debris flow sediment,especially in mechanism of debris flow luminescence dating.This work is based on the detail geomorphology investigation of quaternary debris flow sediment.Three typical modern debris flow gullies and a ancient debris flow sedimentary section were chosen to research the background radiation and its changing among the gully of the turbulent debris flow gully in QingShui river basin Beijing.The new method established in Jiangjia Gully Dongchuan Yunnan province is used to date the age data of ancient debris flow sediment section in QingShui river basin, preliminarily attempting to recovery and rebuild the history of the late quaternary debris flow evolution in QingShui river basin,Beijing.On the one hand, this research has fundamentally significance in further revealing the relationship between the climate change and debris flow active phase in Beijing,discussing the trend of debris flow evolution of Beijing under the background of global warming in future and accumulating the basic data of preventing and controlling the debris flow disasters.On the other hand,it has positive significance for concluding the proper method to build the high resolution environmnental evolution sequence in Beijing by ancient debris flow sediment.It also has positive significance for providing the time scale for recovering and reconstructing the environmental conditions during debris flow periods in Beijing.
