The accurate determination of the age of ancient debris flow events is a key issuein the paleoenvironmental studies of the ancient debris flow. Start from the datingmechanism of debris flow, we have recognized that the natural state of debris flow ispartial bleaching and the age of the residual background is6.83ka. According to thebackground age, utilizing thermo luminescence technology to measure the platform ofdebris flow deposits in Jiangjia valley basin, the result is that the formation time ofDaduo platform ranges from34.57ka to16.87ka, which mainly changed in the thesecond stage of the oxygen isotope and corresponded to the loess accumulationperiod L1. The formation time of Nideping platform ranges from56.07ka to15.07ka,which mainly changed during in the second and third stage of the oxygen isotope.Daduo terraces and Nideping terraces are formed in the last glacial period(75~10kaBP). The formation time of Duozhao platform ranges from136.67ka to41.47ka, which changed in the fourth and fifth stage of the oxygen isotope duringin the late Pleistocene to early Late Pleistocene. Debris flow activated in the lastinterglacial stage (125~75kaBP). The dating of debris flow of the area provides anew approach and idea to learn more about the typical debris flow deposits mesaoverall environmental sequence to explore the formation and evolution of process andenvironmental background.
