GML has been the international standard for the encoding,exchange,storing and publishing of spatial data,the emergence of GML provides the uniform standard and framework for modeling,integration and sharing of spatial data.With the massive GML spatial data unceasing emergence,the single computer environment already can’t adapt to the meet of organization and management of GML which is semi-structured and in big amount,it is urgent for us to do the research on the effective organization and management of GML data.Grid computing environment has strong computing power and data management ability which provide a set of effective and intelligent solution for organization and management of mass data.How to parallel computing GML data in high performance in gird computing environment is the purpose of this paper.This paper is based on the related theory of GML in single computer environment,doing the research of key issues of spatial analysis of GML spatial data in grid computing environment,mainly including the following aspects:(1) Topology expression and editing of GML spatial data.Based on the semi-structured characteristic of GML,putting forword the topology expression method of basic topology primitive,and explaining GML topology editing through expression of point,line and face,at last,realizing GML topology editing in ArcGIS Engine.(2) Do the research on GML parallel space analysis task scheduling in grid computing environment.Considering the characteristics of GML data, putting forward the GML data partitioning strategy based on Hilbert space filling curve to partit GML data,and realizing parallel query of GML data in grid environment;Designing task scheduling strategy of GML parallel space analsis combined with grid computing scheduling model and algorithm and the load balance problems.(3) Do the research on parallel computing of GML space analysis in grid computing environment. In order to improve the parallel computing efficiency,discuss distributed parallel computing in grid environment,put forward parallel computing model,algorithm,strategy in gird environment;Facing with the different problems of spatial analysis,putting forward GML spatial analysis parallel algorithm.(4) Test the GML spatial analysis’s performance in gird computing environment.Depends on the gird computing platform Globus Toolkit,design GML spatial analysis parallel computing process to do the test,get the result that the spatial analysis’performance of GML data in grid computing environment is better than single computer environment.Finally,after deeply research on GML spatial analysis in grid computing environment,realizing GML interoperability in grid computing environment,enriching and perfecting GIS application system in grid computing environment.
