The oil film bearing is the key component, to maintain the normaloperation of the rolling mill machinery, high demands on their workperformance and service life. Babbitt on the bearing bushing is a wear-resistantmaterial, but belongs to the low melting point alloy; in the continuing workcondition will be apparent creep phenomenon. Film thickness and film pressurein the loading area will be changed, seriously affect the stability of the oil filmbearing, or even cause damage failure. Therefore, the paper does a systematicstudy of the creep properties of Babbitt.Creeps properties of different metal materials are different, related to theorganization of the material itself, and the same material under differenttemperature or stress environment, show the strain relationship also exists agreat difference. In this paper, the basic theory of the metal creep have a sum-up,expounds the creep mechanism and related algorithms, clearly the Babbitt creepconstitutive relation in several mechanical model.At present, the studies of metallic materials creep are mostly focused on thedesign of core components and high precision instruments in the field ofaviation. Babbitt creep properties did not get further study, so this paper throughthe method of creep test do a test, and get to the relationship between creepstrain and time of the Babbitt materials under certain conditions, lad afoundation for its structure with creep analysis in the latter part. Creep test baseon the loading platform of the universal testing machine, improvement anddesign of the creep test device, the device is suitable for the creep test oflow-temperature environment, the test capacity to meet the requirements,practical stronger.Select two groups of different conditions in the Babbitt creep test results.Base on Graham creep equation, use the Marquardt method and the adaptivealgorithm, do nonlinear fitting for the raw data of the test, and get thecorresponding creep coefficient and creep curves. Analysis the fitted curve,make scalability analysis, and according to the known creep coefficient calculate stress related index, estimate the creep coefficient corresponding to the differentstress, draw much group stress creep curves.Base on finite element analysis software to simulate the creepcharacteristics of the oil film bearing Babbitt, get the whole strain nephogram,the elastic strain nephogram and creep strain nephogram in different time of,contrast and analysis of simulation results, summed up the creep characteristicsof the Babbitt under the film bearing operating state. The finite element creepanalysis algorithm incorporate into the Numerical Algorithm of Elastichydrodynamic, and propose creep fluid dynamic pressure thinking for theBabbitt thickness optimized provided a viable theory of finite elementalgorithm.
