It is a world hot spot of the nonlinear optics that researcher exploresone good kind of two-photon absorption material now. A large numberof two-photon absorption materials have appeared. This material has awidespread application. It can be used in two-photon stimulationfluorescence microscopy, the frequency transforms the laser, the lightsteady and the light restriction, the polymerization three dimensionalmicro processing and so on through its light physical process, and inserve as the light dynamics treatment, the controllable medicinerelease and so on through its photochemical reaction.2,6-bis(methoxycarbonyl)-1-methyl pyridinium trifluoromethanesulfonate as anelectron-withdraw-ing groups to design two-photon absorption compound. The paperdivides into three parts. The first part, four kinds of the D-π-A structure organic pyridine saltand the derivative, including TM1-1, TM2-1, TM2-2, TM3-2, which had notseen the literature were synthesized for the first time. These compoundshave been characterized by IR,1H NMR,13C NMR,19F NMR and so on.The second part, a series of organic pyridine salt has been carriedon performance tests by the UV absorption, the single-photonfluorescence and two-photon absorption cross section, and giving thetwo-photon absorption cross section of TM1-1and TM2-1are681GMand2300GM, respectively. It is discovered that these compounds havesolvatochromism obviously, which are dissolved in the different solution. The third part, TM1-1can be used for detecting water content inorganic solvent after testing water content in organic solvent. TM1-1can be used for pH probe after the pH testing of solution byphotometric titration is performed. It has the widespread application prospect.
