Epoxy (EP) is a kind of thermosetting material. With excellent multipleperformance, EP is widely applied in the areas of adhesive, machinery, insulatingmaterial, coating etc. However, The defect of great brittleness, short of resistance tohigh temperature and impact result from the high crosslinking density after curing haslimited the application of EP in many high technology fields (such as the space shuttle,satellites, missiles etc.) and special environment (such as high temperature, corrosion,high impact force).In this article, EP/CNTs composite was prepared through theultrasonic dispersing carbon nanotubes technics without solvent (hereinafter referredto as UD),the ultrasonic dispersing carbon technics nanotubes with solvent (S-UD)andS-UD synergy electrical Fluid Dynamics dispersing carbon nanotubes technics(EHD)respectively.The effect of different solvents,different surfactant and differentdispersing ways on CNTs dispersion in epoxy resin was compared.The fracture toughness of EP/CNTs composite prepared by technics of UD wascharacterized by the single-edge-notch bending tests, The study showed that addingthe same small amount of CNTs has enhanced toughening role owing to improvementof the dispersion of CNTs in the epoxy matrix by lengthen the ultrasonic time.Afterdouble notch four point bending tests,the sample was observated by TEM. The resultsfound that CNTs can inactivite crack tip, prevent the further expansion of the crackthough debonding pulled out or fracture. The characterization showed that theintroduction of carbon nanotube to epoxy resin does not reduce the glass transitiontemperature of epoxy by the DMA tests;The observation of SEM picture showed that the dispersion of carbon nanotubeshave been much improved in EP/CNTs through the method of S-UD synergy EHDwith solvent DMF.This paper also studied the preparation of epoxy resin nano fiber by the methodof coaxial electricity spinning using core scabbard nanofiber template. This method provide effective way for preparation.of more inorganic-epoxy resin nanocompositeThe research of the epoxy resin nano fiber preparation through the coaxial electricityspinning using core scabbard template prove that the core EP liquid that do not have asilk performance can further be prepared for resin nano fiber using the method ofcoaxial electricity spinning with core scabbard nanofiber template in the appropriatecore liquild flow rate.If the flow rate of core liquild is slower,resin nanoparticle isproduced in local area by curing reaction and if the flow rate of core liquild isfaster,the nano fiber adhered between each another.
