The welding process and the welding zone temperature have a significant impact on theorganization and performance of the final weld and heat affected zone, accurate temperatureprocess for metallurgical analysis is the premise of the stress-strain analysis and the weldingprocess control. With the development of computer technology, computer use in weldingresearch has been common, using the finite element method for solving the temperaturefields of the welding process has been domestic concern for academicsIn this paper, the general large-scale finite element software ANSYS are used insimulation of welding temperature field and welding temperature field prediction based onwelding temperature field database and simulation results. The calculation is based on CO2gas shielded welding processes, the two dimensions of100×100(mm) DP590steel platebutt welding weld temperature field of three-dimensional numerical simulation study.Consider the the reheat role in the welding engineering, this paper uses two-pass welding,welding prefabricated slope mouth60°single V-shaped groove. More accurate calculationof the temperature field of the weld zone, while reducing the computational grid encrypted inthe weld and heat affected zone. Use parametric programming language APDL loop life anddeath cell technology to control the simulation of welding process; by the heat generationrate formula calculated heat and weld unit load to simulate the arc heat input, truerepresentation of the welding process. Also the actual and simulation results were compared,the simulation results agree well with experimental results.With the improvement of simulation accuracy, the simulation results and the actualgetting closer and closer, use the advantage of the full simulation results data and a database-based, the temperature field prediction become possible. Through the collection of theprevious simulation results and predictive models to establish a digital platform based on thedatabase of the welding process, the use of computer algorithms can predict the otherpreviously simulated data. This will not only reduce the time and effort to re-do simulation toestablish a relative of the base metal thickness series of simulated results of the library. Inthis study, the engineering application of great significance.
