Humidity-controlling material refers to the material which is able to sense the surrounding air temperature and humidity and automatically adjust the relative air humidity without the use of energy and mechanical equipment. Whenever environmental humidity is relatively high, the humidity-controlling material absorbs the vapor to lower the humidity. Reversely, when relative humidity is rather low, the material releases the vapor to increase the humidity. Humidity-controlling material now primarily use as a humidity adjustor in areas such as relic container micro-environment adjustment and precious Chinese medicine preservation.With the lack of advance technology, domestic humidity-controlling product experiencing unstable quality and large amount of dust spill during usage which highly restricts the marketing process. As a matter of fact, the whole market has been dominated by imported products. Even though research and development is occurring in many universities and institutes, however they are still at an early stage which is impossible to take the research into production thus no product is able to compete with the imported.This research project is based on previous research from others but has altered and improved manufacturing technique. Base on large amount of experiments, with unique characteristic of CMC, the research outcome indicates the possibility of mass production of this high quality and high efficient humidity-controlling material. Moreover, the project has also established an environmental friendly production protocol and production line.The new improved manufacturing technique instantly solved safety problems caused by floating dust in the manufacturing plant, as well as the unstable product quality issue and the dust spill during usage issue. The final product has confirmed that the quality has reached or even gone beyond if compare with similar imported products, which is a breakthrough for domestic product therefore able to change the market domination situation in the future.
