A study on reliability test、analysis and evaluation of tool magazines was put forward, which was on the background of National Major Science&Technology Projects "Study on Reliability Design and Performance Test for Tool Magazines of Turning-milling Machining Centre", aimed at providing detection means and design basis for the improvement of tool magazines, shortening products’research period, improving research qualities, and promoting its development of large-scale CNC.A reliability test-system for QY011disc tool magazine was built. And the initial failure test plan was established to expose initial failures of the disc tool magazine. By corrective action and re-design and re-manufacture, the reliability growth could be easily achieved. Besides, a method for reliability growth program was given, which could be used to track and control the tool magazine’s growth path.An accelerated life test with Weibull distribution based on small sample and constant time was presented as a reliability determination test for Gifu B5002-060VH0E chain tool magazine. The test was conducted in a group of stress, and then test data with each stress could be augmented based on virtual augmented theory. The Weibull model was built and normal life of tool magazine could be established with suitable accelerated model and those augmented data.
