In this paper,a series of Carboxylic acid salt type of Gemini surfactant[6,6’-(CH2CH2-1,2-diylbis(oxy)-)-bis-(4-Cn-1COPhCOONa)(n=6,8,10,12and14)(EODPNa6-EODPNa14]) were synthesized with high yields,using salicylic acidas raw material,through four steps:the protection of phenolic group; the preparationof acyl chloride; salify. These newly compounds were characterized by IR,1HNMR,13C NMR. In this paper, the reaction conditions of synthesis6,6’-(ethane-1,2-diylbis(oxy))bis(3-octanoylbenzoate)sodium is optimized. On the basis of previousexperimental method, characterized by1HNMR and the determination melting point;and studied the temperature of Friedel-Crafts of double acylate reaction. Through thesurface tension measurement of the compound EODPNa6-EODPNa14, to get goodsurface tension value and critical micelle concentration (CMC) value, and the gibbssurface adsorption formula to form the critical micelle concentration of gibbs freeenergy increment of research and calculated micelle concentration of unit area,Through the performance measure and the theory of computation of EODPNa6-EODPNa14, can get the result, although the critical micelle concentration ofcompounds EODPNa12is bigger than EODPNa14slightly, but its value is still inthe magnitude range of10-4orders, has low critical micelle chroma value, and it hasgood reduces the water’s surface tension of ability and good gibbs surface adsorptionvalue. According to theoretical data of EODPNa8-EODPNa14compounds, thecritical micelle chroma value is diminishing, the gibbs free energy increment (ΔG°m),enthalpy variables (ΔH°m) and entropy (ΔS°m) value is increasing, but theEODPNa6compounds and have no regular changes with other compounds. Thereasons may be due to the length of the chain alky; the longer the chain alkyl, thestronger ability of self-assembly; the ability of forming micelle is stronger, and theweak; because of the EODPNa6compounds with only six carbon alkyl chain, sowhen it formed micelle is difficult than other compounds. Therefore, through theabove data, can judge that the EODPNa12compounds is the the best Geminisurfactant surface properties in the series The environment pollution,especially theheavy metal pollution is increasingly serious. therefore the research of ionrecognition become the focus. In this paper,in aqueous solution,studied the cationrecognition of EODPNa6-EODPNa14to Cu2+, Ni2+,Zn2+and V4+,through the ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy testing,shows thatEODPNa6-EODPNa14have good Recognition ability to copper ions; EODPNa12compounds and EODPNa14has good recognition ability to nickel ions and vanadiumion;but the recognition ability of EODPNa6-EODPNa8to nickel ions and vanadiumion is not very obvious, EODPNa6-EODPNa14have no recognition ability to zincions And the identification principle is studied, results show that the recognitionprinciple of coordination effect.
