The inhibition efficiency of plant corrosion inhibitors extracted from Cinnamomum camphora leaves and seeds before and after synergy on mild steel in5%H2SO4were studied by electrical impedance spectroscopy, polarization curves, differential polarization curves and gravimetric methods, and combined with FT-IR, GC-MS and SEM exploring the inhibition mechanism.The results of electrochemical methods showed that:the effect of liquid corrosion inhibitor is better than the solid corrosion inhibitor in preventing corrosion. The Cinnamomum camphora leaves and seeds soaked in5%H2SO4for4days to a concentration of15g/L, and the inhibition efficiency were up to97.70%and96.40%respectively at25℃by electrical impedance spectroscopy and polarization curves.The results of gravimetric methods showed that:the inhibition efficiency were up to91.18%and84.01%respectively at25℃for24h when the Cinnamomum camphora leaves and seeds liquid extract concentration were15g/L, consistent with the electrochemical results. And the inhibition efficiency were up to96.81%and82.45%respectively at25℃for12h when the concentration is16g/L.The results of synergy showed that:the inhibition efficiency were up to98.58%and98.31%respectively at25℃by impedance spectroscopy, polarization curves and gravimetric methods when the15g/L liquid extract concentration of Cinnamomum camphora leaves and seeds mixed with0.001mol/L AOBAB.When it mixed with0.001mol/L DMMPAB, the inhibition efficiency were up to98.82%and98.65%respectively.Electrochemical method and weight loss method results are basically similar.Cinnamomum camphora leaves and seeds extract were characterized by FT-IR and GC-MS from the structure to inhibit corrosion.The electrochemical corrosion mechanism of the extracts was studied by electrical impedance spectroscopy, polarization curves and the differential polarization curves. And thermodynamic and kinetic parameters that further elucidated the mechanism of inhibition of the extracts were calculated by gravimetric results.Excellent inhibition effect on the surface of carbon steel in the presence of corrosion inhibitor and compound was observed by SEM experimental results.
