| It is one of the most effective method to add high active catalyst to improve the combustion performance of modified double base propellant. In this paper, two complexs, K2Pb[Cu(NO2)6] and K2Pb[Co(NO2)6], which were synergetic when they catalyzd, were synthesized. And their explosion heat value, sensitivity, and compatibility performance were studied.First, K2Pb[Cu(NO2)6] and K2Pb[Co(NO2)6] were synthesized by reverse microemulsion method, and the effects of experimental factors, such as oil phaseã€surfactantã€Ï‰0ã€reaction temperature, were studied. We found that the particle diameter of K2Pb[Co(NO2)6] can reach to200nm when the temperature is30℃, cyclohexane as oil phase, span-80as surfactant, ω0=5. And K2Pb[Cu(NO2)6] is about300nm when cyclohexane as oil phase, TritonX-100as surfactant, ω0=4. The grain diameter of K2Pb[Cu(NO2)6] is about300nm.Second, Room temperature solid phase reaction was employed to prepare K2Pb[Cu(NO2)6] and K2Pb[Co(NO2)6] for the first time. Our study emphasized on the effect factors, including grinding timeã€ratio of reactants and the way of addition sample that affected the reaction. We found that effective control of the grinding time and adding reactant multiple times were the key points. The K2Pb[Co(NO2)6] synthesized by this method has good crystalline, and the size could reach to500nm. The main morphology is irregular with flakes and rod. The K2Pb[Cu(NO2)6] particle is about1μm, containing a lot of products that are about400nm, and the morphology is polyhedron. Finally, the explosion heat value of K2Pb[Co(NO2)6] and K2Pb[Cu(NO2)6] tested by national standard method were2328J/g and514J/g, respectively. Both of the impact sensitivity are H50>60cm, friction sensitivity is0%, indicating that these two complexes used in propellants as catalyst have energetic and security advantages. The study indicated that K2Pb[Cu(NO2)6] and K2Pb[Co(N02)6] have great catalysis on the thermal decomposition of HMXã€RDX. The compatibility of two catalysts with RDX, HMX and NC were analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry analysis, revealing that NC was of better compatibility. |
