Combustion catalyst added is a very effective way to improve solid propellant combustion performance. In this paper, The submicron energetic nitro complexes particles K2Pb[Co(NO2)6] and K2Pb[Ni(NO2)6] were prepared by reverse microemulsion method. And their explosion heat value, mechanical sensitivity,the catalytic performances and its compatibility performance with HMX,RDX and CL-20were studied.Firstly, The K2Pb[Co(NO2)6] and K2Pb[Ni(NO2)6] submicron particles were prepared by Reverse microemulsion method in the W/O(Water/Oil) system, and the effects of experimental factors, such as ωo, reaction time, and pipetting sequence on the reaction were studied. The products characteristics such as diameter,components andstructure were investigated by Scanning Electronic Microscopy(SEM) and X-ray Diffractometry(XRD) were studied. It was experimentally found that the morphology of K2Pb[Co(NO2)6] and K.2Pb[Ni(NO2)6] is cube structure; the product particle size increases with an increase in the coo; The particle size of the product was little affected with an increase reaction time, but the agglomeration of the product particles was changed seriously; The K2Pb[Co(NO2)6] and K.2Pb[Ni(NO2)6] could be prepared by two different ways, but two kinds of different particle sizes of products and the type of dispersion were obtained.Secondly, the explosion heat value of K2Pb[Co(NO2)6] and K2Pb[Ni(NO2)6] tested by national standard adiabatic calorimetry method(GJB5891.28-2006) were2328J·g-1and1035J·g-1.The result indicate that the two substances are energetic complexes,-NO2is energetic compound.Both Impact sensitivity of the are Hso>6Ocm, friction sensitivity is0%, indicating that these two energetic complexes with high safety performance and great prospects. Finally, the thermal decomposition of K2Pb[Co(NO2)6] and K2Pb[Ni(NO2)6] was studied The result indicate that the K2Pb[Co(NO2)6] and K2Pb[Ni(NO2)6] have a better catalytic effect on RDX, HMX and CL-20.The catalytic of different catalyst for an oxident is different.The compatibility of K2Pb[Co(NO2)6] and K2PbrNi(NO2)6] with HMX,RDX and CL-20were analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry analysis, the result found that the CL-20and RDX were of better compatibility with K2Pb[Ni(NO2)6.
