The new concept of parallel machine tools is built by a3-(2SPS) parallel mechanism, additional redundant drive, C-type gantry architecture, this paper is the overall technology research of the parallel machine tools about related configuration optimization, scale comprehensive, performance evaluation. Based on meeting the conceptual design, obtain a variety of configurations through the different position of the parallel machine tool bearing and installing redundant drive slider. then, this paper is in depth of studying of these machines.Firstly, establish such a modal of the3-(2SPS) parallel mechanism, according to mechanical structure size to get position positive and negative solution, and then launch the Jacobian matrix, according to the Jacobian matrix determent value is zero determine the singular position of the machine, and put forwards several programs to solve machine singular by utilizing the redundant drive bearing bias.Secondly, considering the parallel mechanism workspace constraints, find the boundary points on the cross sections of the workspace, and eventually come to the shape of the workspace, and compare with different configurations workspace.Then, considering the machine is impacted by external forces and external torque, the machine moving platform reference point will have small swinging, so establish machine tools six-order Jacobian matrix, and then launch the machine stiffness matrix, given the machine stiffness indicators, and on this basis simulation stiffness of the machine tools in the various sections of the distribution law, and compare with the distribution of redundant machine stiffness.Finally, achieved research has guiding significance for the structural design of the machine and the dynamic parameters match, and ultimately to obtain the optimal machine structure layout.
