Compared to doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG), the direct drive permanent magnet synchronous generators(PMSG) have lots of advantages, such as no gearbox, low mechanical loss, high efficiency and low operation/maintenance cost. The technology of PMSG develops rapidly, and the installed capability of it grows more. Hence, it’s very important to know its operation characteristics and to improve the efficiency of extracting the energy from wind, which is a hot issue in the field of wind power system.Firstly, this paper introduced the background of the task, domestic and overseas current research situation, and analyzed topology of some common used wind power systems. The conclusion is that the direct drive permanent magnet wind generators have the most potential for development.Secondly based on the principle of PMSG, the theoretical analysis of PMSG was introduced, and the mathematical models of wind turbines, PMSG and rectifier were derived in detail. Based on the analyzed mathematical models above, the models were built in matlab/simulink, and obtained a good result.Finally, an experimental platform of the direct-drive PMSG wind power system using TMS320F2812DSP as a controller was built, including wind turbine simulation system, main circuit, control circuit. And the vector control algorithms based on Id=0were written. The experiment result verified that the algorithm is feasible and practical. |
