Taking steam-turbine generator foundation as the object in this paper,1:8test model is designed and built and the anti-seismic performance of foundation test is carried out. The structural form of the foundation is of six-bay frame structure, field of Class Ⅱ and seismic fortification of intensity7. The study is conducted into two phases.First, dynamic characteristic test is tested by using the method of three-point space excitation and multi-point measurements in space. The vibration characteristics including natural frequency and mode of foundation are computed through test.Second, the dynamic stiffness curves of bearings are obtained by using hammer excitation.Last, the characteristics of earthquake response of foundation under frequently and rarely earthquake is studied by using pseudo-dynamic test. The acceleration response, displacement reactivity, reinforced stress and strain curve, hysteretic curves and the development of cracks are studied during the test.The results indicate that the foundation has preferable seismic capability during the earthquake. The using testing data can be provided by studying this type of foundation.
