Based on several complementary experiments, such as investigation, scene simulation, observation and personal evaluation, this paper analyzes factors which affect visibility undermid-high mast lighting on the mixed traffic road, builds the correlation model and theparameter optimization mathematical model for lighting parameters and visibility, exploresthe correlation between each lighting parameter and visibility, and the optimized parameterrange under mid-high mast lighting on the mixed traffic road, provides parameteroptimization method for two general evaluation indexes (visibility and LPD) and threemeasurement indexes for lighting parameters (luminance, cylindrical illuminance andilluminance) after further simplification, and basically builds the design steps for road lightingwith strong feasibility and practical significance. The following shows the main conclusion for this paper.1. Each lighting parameter and visibility is positively related, but the correspondingvisibility for different parameters is different. Correlation analysis is important because theimpact of change of one parameter value on visibility can be reflected when other parametervalues are unchanged, forming the foundation for parameter optimization.2. Lighting parameter and the road lamp position parameter are optimized by calculatingand sorting the lighting indexes. The merit for the optimization above is that the wholecomposite state is optimized as a sample balancedly and systematically, making theapplication of light reasonably.Technological innovation for this paper is as follows. The paper builds mathematical model for parameter optimization, that is, parameteraverage value, uniformity and LPD are weighted and calculated by taking correlation betweenlighting parameter and visibility as the weight size. State indexes for different composite stateare calculated. Through filtration, optimal value and collation, optimized lighting parameterand road lamp parameter are gotten, providing the reasonable method for using light undermid-high mast lighting on the mixed traffic road.
