The radial piston pump is a kind of high energy efficiency new hydraulicpump.It has been widely used in mining machinery, lifting machinery, forgingand pressing machinery and another hydraulic transmission system.Itsadvantages are simple structure, long service life, high working pressure and soon. Along with the fast development of the computer technology and thenumerical simulation technology, using CFD technology to carry out thesimulation research on hydraulic components internal fluid flow phenomenonhas become a common application of engineering analysis method. It has theimportant meaning of the project that through research on the rule of the internalflow field to improve the comprehensive performance of the pump. So we canget the best structure parameters of the radial piston pump.Here make a simulation research on the40ml/r radial piston pump flowfield in the unsteady flows through using CFD method in this paper. The mainresearch contents as follows:(1)It elaborates on the structure and working principle of the radial pistonpump and the movement analysis. Then combining with fluid flow controlequation, build them port three-dimensional flow mathematical model.According to calculations of the data using the Pro/E software established thethree-dimensional physical model of the inner flow field.(2)Import the grid model of inner flow field which has been establishedinto the Gambit software and choose a reasonable way to mesh the modelcombine with its characteristic. Besides, making the grid refining at the trianglegroove.(3)Parameter setting and numerical simulation analysis of the radial pistonpump grid model through using the dynamic meshing technique and slippinggrid technology. Select the standard k-εmodel to analysis the single pistoncavity pressure of the impact and pressure radial piston pump export flowpulsation of the situation. Axial flow with triangle groove points four angleswere analyzed. The most reasonable triangle groove structure for90°of anisosceles triangle.
