The Visitors In The Urban Public Environment Facilities Design Configuration Of The Study

With the development of social economy, the enhancement of living standards for the public and the pursuit of material life, more and more the urban residents yearn for a relaxed outdoor leisure environment for resting. Among the facilities of urban public environments, seats are not only the infrastructures in people’s outdoor daily life but also play an important role in the outdoor public recreational environments. At present, the seats utilization rates in the outdoor leisure environments in Chinese cities are gradually on the increase, which mainly take place in the communities, park squares, leisure green spaces, commercial pedestrian streets and suchlike public environments. But nowadays in the cities of our country, many problems and drawbacks have emerged in the designs for seats among the facilities in the public environments. In order to improve the designs for seats and make them more ideal for serving the public, this paper will analyze and research the configuration of the designs for seats in urban public environments from the five aspects as below:1、Through the analyses and comprehensive illustrations for the development of the designs for seats in urban public environments from home and abroad, we have made people generally understand the development conditions of the designs for seats in the current urban public environments.2、Becanuse the urban outdoor public environments have their own individual characteristics, the designs for seats in outdoor public environments would also be different from the others. Therefore, it is necessary to get to know more about the seats in urban public environments in terms of the definition, classification, material qualities as well as the uses and so on.3、Different social groups and age differences can often lead to different values, lifestyles and codes of conduct. Through the analyses of the leisure motives, the ways of behaviours and the choices of the positions of places among varied age groups in urban outdoor public recreationl environments, we can definitely develop a better relationship between "seats" and "people" in urban outdoor public environments.4、Through the analyses of group ages, characteristics and psychologies of the urban outdoor public, we can draw a conclusion that we should comply with the principles of humanization, durability, safety, integrity and systematization when it comes to the designs and configurations of seats in urban public environments.5、The seats among the facilities in urban public environments are not only the major furniture of the urban residents’outdoor life but also a beautiful scenery line in urban public environments. The present designs for seats in the urban outdoor public environments should not only be given the consideration about their basic elements, but also they should keep up with the times, making the designs for seats develop in the direction of originality and diversity.Through the overall analyses and researches into this paper, we hope to provide some reference information for the problems on the designs for seats in urban public environments. However, we are lacking in related theoretical documents about the subject. Besides, there are still some aspects into which we have not gone further. So we will continue to move and dig in depth in the near future.
