Digital storage oscilloscope (DSO) appeared in the1970’s. Compared with thetraditional oscilloscope, it has more powerful advantage in data storage, PC exchangedata, digital signal processing, single observation waveform. The analog channel is animportant part of the DSO, its band width, band flatness,the level of compensation ofthe input signal and ability of adjust signal directly restrict the development of the DSO.Domestic digital storage oscilloscope starts late, and also embargo by foreign devices,there is still a wide gap with the level of foreign.This task is to design analog channel with bandwith of1GHz. The paper introducesthe development of DSO at home and abroad, digital storage oscilloscope overall design,the analog channel design, the trigger channel design, control channel design, signalintegrity analysis and simulation of channel debugging. The main contents are asfollows.(1) Comparision and selection of the analog channel program. This paper putsforward three kinds of different design scheme, to finalize the use of fixed-gainamplifier+programmable attenuator design, which has a distinct advantage in theflexibility and resolution of the vertical amplitude of the signal conditioning.(2) Specific design of the analog channel. Given the impedance selection circuit,the coarse attenuation netwoek, the impedance transformation network, the pre-leveladjustment circuit, the amplifier circuit, the programmable attenuation circuit, the powerdistribution aircuits, clock circuits, the AC and DC coupled circuits, the single-endeddesign, from the principle to ensure the feasibility of the design of the analog channels.(3) Trigger and control channel design. The trigger source is channel1trigger,channel2trigger, external trigger and the source trigger. Trigger way is edge trigger andvideo trigger. The control signal will be sent to the required chip from FPGA by the wayof CD4094.(4) Analysis the signal integrity to ensure the quality of the orinal signal.
