Signage Information Public Facilities Of "the Sense Of Touch To Convey" Research

We live in a beautiful and colorful world, which is created by the persons whocan see. And we can understand everything around us with our eyes,absolutely understand something about space. But how the blind persons whocan’t feel the things with eyes, know the room where they are, and tell us theknowledge about the space in their brain? Moreover, how to let the blindpersons “see” the space better? All of these questions urge the author toresearch the blind persons’ ability for the understood about space, and designa3Dmap which can be read by them.The thesis tell us a thinking process in author’s mind, from the perceptualbehavior of blind person, to find a universal point between the blind person andthe healthy person, then design a3Dmap with the knowledge, which acquirefrom the research. It also introduces particularly about the perceptualexperiments of research, not only to use these experiments to prove theconclusions of research, but also to tell us the way of the perceptualexperiment with the blind persons.There was three creations in this thesis. First is the research about the way ofblind persons’ perceptual behavior about the space. Second is the author didthe research with a great number of experiments. Third is the design of the3Dmap for Zhejiang blind persons’ school.All in all, the author write this thesis to let us know more about the blindpersons’ perceptual of space. And let us get the enlightenment about the wayof experiment.
