As the advanced power electronics and servo control developed, the permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) servo system has been wildly applicated in manydomains, especially in the high-performance motion control. The PMSM has theadvantages of easy control, fast dynamics characteristics, high toque, and safety. Inrecent years, many scholars have proposed many advanced control strategies, many ofwhich are based on the mathematics’ model of PMSM and the motor’s parameters. Butwith the operating ambient changing, the motor aging, the motor’s parameters and thecontrol strategies changing, the motor’s parameters will change.To the above-mentioned problems, this paper considers the identificationalgorithms of the PMSM’s electric parameters (the inductance, the resistance thepermanent magnet flux linkage) and the mechanical parameters (the rotational inertia,the load toque) and build the simulation model to verify the proposed parameters’identification algorithms.(1) This paper proposed the on-line identification algorithm of PMSM electricparameters based the model reference adaptive system. This algorithm don’t affect themotor operating, because it doesn’t need additional input signals and only needes thePMSM’s voltage and current.(2) This paper analyzes the inverter dead-time effect on identification of thePMSM’s electric parameters and proposed time compensation method based theSVPWM. This paper combined the dead-time compensation method and parameters’identification, which can effectively inhibit the dead-time effects on the parameteridentification.(3) An on-line load inertia identification method by disturber observer server(DOB) is used to identification the PMSM’s load inertia and a reduced orderLuenberger load observer is used to observe the change of load toque.(4) The simulation model is built to verify the proposed algorithm and thesimulation results clearly demonstrated the validity and feasibility of the proposedalgorithm. The simulation experiment verified the proposed parameter’ identificationalgorithms could accurately identify the PMSM’s parameters.The proposed parameters’identification algorithms could solve the inaccuracy of the motor’s measured parametersand the moter’s parameter changing in operation, etc.The proposed parameters’identification algorithms provide necessary conditions for improving the performance ofthe motor system and is of great significance.
