AC drive has become the most fundamental mode in the drive field. With thedevelopment of the electrical motor theories, modern power electronics techniques,microprocessor techniques and advanced control theories, the application of ACservo technology is more and more extensive. Permanent magnet synchronousmotor has been applied in the drive field extensively due to it has many advantagessuch as small size, light weight, high power density, wide speed range, high torque,fast response time stable in low-speed running, high overload capacity and highreliability. DTC Principle has widely used researched with its advantages such assimple structure, robustness and swift dynamic response. This essay takes the sinewave permanent magnetic synchronous machine as the control object, and use directtorque control to realize motor control.This essay introduces the basic principles of direct torque control, the basicprinciple of permanent magnet synchronous motor position and speed detection withrotary encoders, the method for generating a reference vector in digital systemsusing direct torque control, the establishment of the simulation model of apermanent magnet synchronous motor using direct torque control. The simulationresult verify the direct torque control.Secondly, in order to solve the switching frequency instability, the torque andflux ripple problem exists in traditional direct torque control, the direct torquecontrol based on the space vector modulation (SVM-DTC) is introduced, the theoryof the synthesis of SVPWM is described, a method of generating a reference vectorand its improved method is introduced. Analyze the effects of the dead zone andthe basic principles of dead-time compensation. Establish a simulation model ofpermanent magnet synchronous motors Using SVM-DTC control. Simulationresults show that SVM-DTC control can greatly reduce the torque ripple andimprove the dynamic performance of the system.Finally, using Spansion Semiconductor’s DSP as the control center forhardware and software design, and verify the feasibility of SVM-DTC control strategy on the hardware test platform, Experimental results show that the method isfeasible.
