The tremendous increasing of the global energy demand, together with the humanconcern about environmental impacts generated by the energy processing, has focusedthe attention of human for environmental-friendly renewable energy supplies. Thephotovoltaic (PV) technology has been receiving a great attention, mostly due to itsunique advantages. Engineers and researches around the world are enthusiastic aboutdeveloping PV technology. Stand-alone PV power system is one of the hottest PVresearch technologies, it is widely used in remote places where are usually dependent ofelectric utility grid. It’s a system that solves the non-electricity issue.This dissertation researches, analysis and designs a stand-alone PV power systemwhich is based on high frequency link. The proposed system includes: solar panel,DC/DC converter, lead acid battery, high frequency link,50Hz inverter, filter andloads. The main content of this dissertation includes followings:1. The dissertation gives an introduction to the high frequency link technology indetail, including its control method, advantages and disadvantages. By analyzing thetraditional stand-alone PV system architecture, this dissertation designs a brand newstand-alone PV system which is based on high frequency link technology2. Two key technologies of a stand-alone PV system are described in detail. Thetwo key technologies are: Maximum Power Point Tracking(MPPT), battery chargingand discharging management.3. Hardware and control algorithm designing of the proposed system arepresented.4. Using simulation software to simulate the system to verify the feasibility of thedesigned parameters and control algorithm. Do experiments on the hardware platform.The experimental results are analyzed to verify the feasibility of the proposed systemdesigning.
