Along with the future war becomes to local and miniature conventional warfare, cluster munitions will be used more extensively and catch more national attention. The cluster munitions dispersion technology, which is the most important, is still not systematic and deep enough at home. The technology now focuses on spreading precision on the end of a bullet on the damage probability of impact. Cluster munitions dispersion technology contains the height of opening cabin, the flight attitude and trajectory stability after bullets are dispersed, bullets spread accuracy, which directly effect on explosion of submunitions. Therefore, shrapnel technologies need to be further studied.The mechanical problems during the opening cabin and cluster munitions dispersion and how dispersion mechanisms effects on stability and best spread of bullets are studied by establishing theoretical analysis and mathematical model on the process of cluster munitions dispersion. Mechanical elements such as the parent body and explosive box during the dispersal process are simulation studied by ANSYS/LS-DYNA finite element software in order to solve the strength problems during cluster munitions dispersion. While the results show that the mechanical parts meet the strength requirements. In addition, combined with the research object, the design agencies and design parameters of the shrapnel technology are optimized and improved in order to improve the reliability and validity of the bullets.The lower bullet body which is in the parent cavity is calculated by computer simulation and theory methods. The results show that bullet bomb body and connection thread meet design strength requirements in harsh launch environment. The insurance institutions, and streamers, and stability rotary wing tablets and relief pressure hole are designed and analyzed to improve the flight stability of bullets. The results show that all these can improve the flight stability which greatly improves the reliability of bullets fuse.Last up this article summarizes the present research on the subject, and noted the prospects for further study.
