Urban public transport is an important component of urban infrastructure, is social welfare undertakings about the people’s livelihood, Urban public transport has unparalleled advantages in road and land resources conservation, pollution reduction, energy saving. Its development is directly related to the overall function of the city and the people’s quality of living. Good public transport can inhibit the rapid development of individual transportation, efficiently utilize road resources, protect urban natural environment and promote sustainable social and economic development of the city. In recent years, China has strongly advocated and supported the development of urban public transport priority, which gives the city’s public transport development unprecedented opportunities for development. Major cities in China attach great importance to the city public transport priority, vigorously implement the bus priority development strategy, increasing the city public traffic investment and construction strength. City bus station is the city public traffic in the important infrastructure, bus station planning is to improve the city public transportation attraction, achieve sustainable development of urban public transport.The main work accomplished in the dissertation was as followings:Firstly, based on summarizing and review the related fields home and abroad on the basis of research results, describes the city bus station definition, analysis to the related theory study cannot be well used to practice reason; secondly, by using the method of four stage model for city bus station needs to undertake forecasting an analysis, are given city bus parking, maintenance and the first end station scale demand forecasting formula; and then, combined with the city bus station layout planning principle puts forward " the first end station and parking combination, reduce the rate of empty driving "," maintenance field and parking, maintenance people" layout pattern; thus, the layout pattern on the basis, elaborated the public parking, maintenance and the first end station classification, function and main facility, and study its construction standard; finally, taking the city of Jinan west station area as an example, combining the West Railway Station area of traffic demand and public transportation line planning situation, for bus station planning and construction development and case analysis.
