Refrigerator is the basic household appliances in people’s daily life. Compressor is the "heart" of refrigerator. So the security and reliability of compressors’work have a close contact with the safety of people’s daily life. And it is also one of the most important problems that the manufacturers care about. Over-load protector is the most important component to protect compressor. So over-load protectors’quality influece compressors’s property directly. Over-load protector’s core element is bimetallic strip. Bimetallic strip’s recover temperature can change over-load protector’s performance, so it is important and necessary to detect each bimetallic strips’recover temperature. And at present, most manufacturers in China detect bimetallic strips by manual detect method. This is easy to achieve, but its low efficiency and high cost is a big problem for the manufacturers. Aiming at this problem, this paper design an automation detecting line with is simple and has high efficiency and low cost.The research work in the aspect has been introduced in this paper. In the writing the major technical difficulty and some crucial technology is discussed. The main contents are summarized as follow:(1) Process design of the automation detecting line. By the analysis of the manual detecting method, design the process of automation detecting line. And then introduce the process route of the automatic detecting line, and the design the worker one of te automatic detecting line. Basic on the process and worker on, design the main structure of the automatic detecting line. The automatic detecting line is made up of five subsystems which is:the bimetallic strips’loading subsystem, the vehicle shifting line subsystem, the bimetallic strips’heating subsystem, the bimetallic strips’detecting subsystem and the bimetallic strips’picking out subsystem. The process in this paper has these advantages including high productivity, simple structure and has a low cost.(2) Research of the key subsystem of the automatic detecting line. Introduce the design of bimetallic strips’detecting subsystem, the bimetallic strips’picking out subsystem and the vehicle shifting subsystem, including subsystem’s mechanical structure and its movement.(3) Research and design of the automatic detecting line’s control system including the structure of the control system, its pneumatic circuit. Using pneumatic-electronic control technology achieves detecting line control system.(4) System debugging of automatic detecting line, including the assembling of automatic detecting line, connecting of pneumatic circuit and the electrical wires. The automatic detecting line is efficient and has los cost.The designed automatic detecting line of bimetallic strips’recover temperature based on automatic technology in this paper can be referenced by domestic research on over-load protector’s bimetallic strips’ manufacture.
