Sinopec Shengli Gudong oil production plant of distribution network is located in area of the Bohai Bay.The region of annual thunderstorm days on average40days, is the lightning activity area. According to the records since2005, the lightning trip-out of the Gudong oil production plant6(10) kV transmission line is on the rise clearly.It affects the oil production seriously. The Gudong oil production plant has been basically formed a set of effective and conventional line lightning protection methods.but in some special circumstances the conventional methods are not ideal.so the further research on lightning protection of line be imperative. Gudong oil field distribution network lightning protection is an important, long-term and arduous task.This paper studies the line lightning protection of voltage protection, on the Gudong distribution network.This paper introduces the basic principle and the harm of lightning discharge briefly, statistical analysises of the past8years datas in Gudong oil production plant, and Finds out the reason of Gudong distribution network lightning trip. This paper analysis of thunderstorm, line voltage level, inductive over voltage, lightning overvoltage,trip-out rate paramcters.finds out the Contact between lightning trip-out rate.the environment, line load and lightning protection device, summarizes the key link of lightning protection measures.In view of the weak links in Gudong lightning protection of distribution network, using the electromagnetic transient simulation software ATP-EMTP and finite element software ANSYS simulates test. Selects the reasonable location and the gap size of protection.
