| [Research Purpose]Hypomenorrhea refers to the apparent reduction of MBV(menstrual blood volume) while the menstrual cycling is normal, or menstruation sustains less than2days and even trickles to nothing. Generally speaking, if MBV is less than20ml, it is deemed to hypomenorrhea. At present, as modern women are shouldering more and artificial termination of pregnancy goes up, dysmenorrhea occurs frequently. Especially among the clinical sessions, the number of patients suffering hypomenorrhea is gradually skyrocketing. Hypomenorrhea will develop to amenorrhea, or obstructing pregnancy or osperm can not land and grow up due to thinner uterus intima, so impacting pregnancy. At the meantime, prolonged hypomenorrhea may make suffers psychological discomfort. Therefore, it is positive in both clinical and societal levels to find a productive therapy. Currently western medicine involves little study and treatment in terms of hypomenorrhea, not to mention effectiveness. Thus, it is extremely important to improve MBV and pregnancy by treatment based on syndrome differentiation in TCM. I n order to systematically observe the clinical effectiveness for hypomenorrhea(Kidney-deficiency and blood stasis in view of TCM) from Tiaojing Zengliang Tang, and initially probe its possible functioning, we make the study under the guide of professor Liu Yingjie.【Research Methods】All case studies involving in the research originate from out-patients treated in the No.1attached hospital of Beijing University, Dongzhimen Hospital.103patients which conform to diagnosis metrics fill in questionnaire of hypomenorrhea’s reason. For the patients that be diagnosed Kidney-deficiency and blood stasis will be strictly subject to diagnosis, entry and preclusion metrics.There are42case studies which are given Tiaojing Zengliang Tang for treatment. Using the designing method of comparison both in pre and post therapy, patients’improvement of MBV and relevant symptoms is monitored after serving medications, and the efficacy of treatment is compared; Monitoring the impact on FSH, LH, E, P, PRL, the change of BBT, the impact on uterus intima of treatment, and reactions occurring during taking medications. Analyze observing outcomes, so as to evaluate clinical efficacy and security of TCM.[Results] 1.Among103patients who were questioned,52once had history of abortion(50.49%),10taken emergency contraception (9.71%),23had bad quality of sleep(22.33%),65bear great working pressure(63.11%),13had lost weight (12.62%),2had changed environment (1.94%) and43had no reason (41.75%)2. Among42patients,1cured (2.38%);11efficacy reached (26.19%);18relieved(42.86%);12nullified(28.57%); total effectiveness reaches to71.43%.3. Prior to treatment the thickness of uterus intima equals0.882i0.148(cm), reaching to0.920±0.112after treatment, the difference shows statistical meaning (P<0.05)4. Among42case studies, patients’FSH and E slightly increase after treatment, showing statistical meaning (P<0.05); but the LH,P, PRL have not changed much, showing no statistical connotation (p>0.05).5. BBT of42patients are all typical bi-phase changed.6. Adverse reactions do not occur during medication-taking.【Conclusions】1. Hypomenorrhea currently may be relevant with abortion time, mental stress, quality of sleep, taking contraceptives and losing weight. There are many patients who can’t find the reason.2. Kidney-deficiency and blood stasis are major causes resulting in clinical hypomenorrhea.3. Kidney-Tonifying and Blood-Activating therapy are the principle for curing hypomenorrhea. Taking the Chinese medicine-Tiaojing Zengliang Tang for boosting kidney and vibrating blood is meant to improve MBV as well as relevant symptoms.4. Tiaojing Zengliang Tang is able to enhance the thickness of uterus intima after treatment, strengthening its growth and restoration.5. Tiaojing Zengliang Tang can slightly lift FSH,E levels of hypomenorrhea and have no effect on LH,P,PRL.6. Tiaojing Zengliang Tang brings about no adverse reactions during curing hypomenorrhea caused by Kidney-deficiency and blood stasis. It is safe. |
