Dental occlusion analysis is a very critical technology of modern orthodonticsmedicine, patients with oral dental occlusion analysis and location of the correction is torely on a mechanical jaw frame, which based on the dental occlusion on the basis of thepoint of detection. Although the development of mechanical jaw frame has beenhundred years of history, all the disadvantages still cannot be eliminated, which havebrought great inconvenience to patients and doctors. Digital dental occlusion analysissystem is more and more urgent.With the development of the computer technology, which promotes the rapiddevelopment of computer graphics, based on computer graphics and image the digitalvirtual technology has become a mainstream; digital dental occlusion analysis is thenew technology which is based on virtual visualization technology. By comparing theexisting collision detection techniques, learning and improve domestic and internationalresearch in digital dental occlusion analysis, using the OBB bounding box to detectdental occlusion collision is proposed in this paper, and also based the V-Collidecollision library, OpenGL, MFC, and VCG visualization library to achieve a practicalplatform for digital dental bite analog and dental occlusion collision detection. In the sixmain chapters of this paper, include the collision technology comparison and the reasonsfor the selection of collision technology, based on the V-Collide collision library andOpenGL digital dental realize the occlusion analysis. Contrast the advantages anddisadvantages of each method, the paper concludes in part through the dental occlusionand professional business software comparison, from the data source, three-dimensionalreconstruction, collision detection methods to analyze the inadequacies of this paper, atthe same time compared with the dental occlusion analysis software, this study has theopen-source flexibility and portability, multi-mode to observe the methods and can besimulated occlusion. Finally, by analyzing, there methods including the search forappropriate data source, improving the three-dimensional reconstruction, and V-Collidecollision library are proposed in this paper, also the next research are proposed at last.
